As always, with Round 1 we will narrow down the contestants to the close competitors for the final round of voting to determine this year’s winners. Each category will wind up with 3 to 6 finalists depending on the size of the category and the closeness of the race. Voting for Round 1 will end on November 1, 2012.

Each person is allowed to vote once in each category. Spread the word about these great blogs and don’t forget to like us on Facebook! If you have any questions you can find me on Twitter!

Update: Here’s your 2012 Nominee Badge!

Good luck!

  1. Could you please correct a type-o you’ve got me as “just a midgen” It should be “just a smidgen” with an s!! Under The first left hand tab for creative.. cooking, etc. Thanks!

  2. I just went to add an entry to the best feminism blog and it didn’t post…

  3. Penny Hanuszak says:

It would be nice to be able to actually view the blogs without having to vote site unseen. Shouldn’t you have a listing of all the finalists with the links to their blogs not just the voting pin. Unless I’m doing something wrong, when I click on the name of the nominated site it simply activates the voting pin, but doesn’t take me directly to the blog.

Your vote is being counted for the write-ins, it’s just not visible. If you want to add a nomination, HURRY and let me know and I just may add it.

  5. Thanks for the correction.. I’ve just noticed someone nominated me for Best Food and Drink category.. where I also appear as Midgen:D xx

  6. Phil Bamber says:

I nominate Barb Bamber at http://www.justasmidgen for the Best Blog about Art, Crafts, Cooking and Other Creative Activities

  7. Hi, I just went to check and my blog isn’t listed in health and I double checked, it was nominated for that category. Is it possible for it to be added to the voting list?

  8. Thanks for adding a travel and expat category. 🙂

    Hi,

On the Best Business and Professional Life Blog category, you’ve listed “On Product Management” as “On Project Management”. Can you fix that please?

    Thanks

  10. Reanna says:

Upsy/Downsy was entered twice in the Health category (once as Upsy/Downsy and once as D’Arcy Stainton). But it isn’t on the list at all for New Blog, which it should be.

Sorry to be a hassle, and thanks for doing this.

  11. Thanks!! I am impressed by how generous you are with your time … thanks again for adding me in.

  12. Patti says:

The drop down for Blog Post is not working.

  13. Isabel says:

Hello, I was just wondering if it’s too late to add a blog to the list. If not, how do I do this?
    Thanks!

  14. doublevez says:

Thanks for adding Feminist Current. I believe it’s the only Canadian feminist blog which approaches feminism from the perspective of women’s rights, not ‘equality’ with men, which is a liberal point of view, and in my opinion panders to male approval. I learned long ago, that when men are allowed a voice in women’s rights orgs, they take over, and so does their opinion carried out by the women who don’t leave. Feminism means something. It’s a political perspective. It’s not a social club, or a write-in your version trend. I appreciate the work you do and your quick response to my request.
