As always, with Round 1 we will narrow down the contestants to the close competitors for the final round of voting to determine this year’s winners. Each category will wind up with 3 to 6 finalists depending on the size of the category and the closeness of the race. Voting for Round 1 will end on November 1, 2012.
Each person is allowed to vote once in each category. Spread the word about these great blogs and don’t forget to like us on Facebook! If you have any questions you can find me on Twitter!

Could you please correct a type-o you’ve got me as “just a midgen” It should be “just a smidgen” with an s!! Under The first left hand tab for creative.. cooking, etc. Thanks!
I just went to add an entry to the best feminism blog and it didn’t post…
Me too. I want to nominate FEMINIST CURRENT: http://feministcurrent.com/
It would be nice to be able to actually view the blogs without having to vote site unseen. Shouldn’t you have a listing of all the finalists with the links to their blogs not just the voting pin. Unless I’m doing something wrong, when I click on the name of the nominated site it simply activates the voting pin, but doesn’t take me directly to the blog.
See links below voting boxes
Your vote is being counted for the write-ins, it’s just not visible. If you want to add a nomination, HURRY and let me know and I just may add it.
Thanks for the correction.. I’ve just noticed someone nominated me for Best Food and Drink category.. where I also appear as Midgen:D xx
I nominate Barb Bamber at http://www.justasmidgen for the Best Blog about Art, Crafts, Cooking and Other Creative Activities
Hi, I just went to check and my blog isn’t listed in health and I double checked, it was nominated for that category. Is it possible for it to be added to the voting list?
Fixed, Dave
Thanks for adding a travel and expat category. 🙂
Hi,
On the Best Business and Professional Life Blog category, you’ve listed “On Product Management” as “On Project Management”. Can you fix that please?
Thanks
Upsy/Downsy was entered twice in the Health category (once as Upsy/Downsy and once as D’Arcy Stainton). But it isn’t on the list at all for New Blog, which it should be.
Sorry to be a hassle, and thanks for doing this.
I will merge them, and add to new. Cheers
Thanks!! I am impressed by how generous you are with your time … thanks again for adding me in.
Thanks for noticing Dave =)
The drop down for Blog Post is not working.
Seems to be a polldaddy bug. I put a direct link there for now
Oh I think you’re WONDERFUL generous. Now can you put Feminist Current in there. 🙂
(And then, do something about the format here? It’s not accessible for vision impaired.)
I will add the blog. I apologize, I will try to add more visual contrast in the future. I may need some consulting help
Hello, I was just wondering if it’s too late to add a blog to the list. If not, how do I do this?
Thanks!
Thanks for adding Feminist Current. I believe it’s the only Canadian feminist blog which approaches feminism from the perspective of women’s rights, not ‘equality’ with men, which is a liberal point of view, and in my opinion panders to male approval. I learned long ago, that when men are allowed a voice in women’s rights orgs, they take over, and so does their opinion carried out by the women who don’t leave. Feminism means something. It’s a political perspective. It’s not a social club, or a write-in your version trend. I appreciate the work you do and your quick response to my request.
