Mike’s Bloggity Blog wins first place in Cultural/Entertainment for the second year in a row with a respectable lead, although Department of Culture and Nag on the Lake could quite possibly combine their totals to claim first place in a sort of “coalition”, if you will. Sorry, inappropriate political humour directed at our second place winner. A sincere congratulations to all three winners, and also to Popped Culture and The Delete Bin for their final finish. If these awards have shown anything, it is that blogger interest has been very strong in unexpected categories like these, with 502 people voting in the finals and 25 entrants being nominated! The people of Canada have spoken.
An apology also from a lazy judge (me) for having fallen asleep last night when this was supposed to have been posted yesterday.

Thanks a lot to everyone who voted for the Delete Bin, and for the guys who organized this year’s competition. It was great to be included. And it helped me to find cool new blogs to read and link to, which is the point to all of this.

I would like to echo Rob’s thanks to the organizers and to those folks who voted for us.
And yes, if this was a parliamentary democracy, Department of Culture and Nag on the Lake could legitmately form a coalition . It is not a parliamentary democracy though and Mike’s Blogity Blog is the deserving winner. Congratulations Mike!
