Best French Language Blog

As selected by Canadian Blog Award voters, here are the rankings for:

Best French Language Blog

1. Synchro Blogue with 56.74% of the popular vote

frenchlang-1st08

2. News from Toronto with 26.4% of the popular vote

frenchlang-2nd08

3. Bon Blogue Bad Blog with 6.74% of the popular vote

frenchlang-3rd08

4. Jesuisfeministe.com with 6.18% of the popular vote

5. Point de Bascule with 3.93% of the popular vote

I feel a little silly announcing the top French language blog without understanding the language myself. I wish I knew someone who could announce this in French, but alas I don’t. Nevertheless, congratulations to Synchro Blogue for the win, and to the other finalists. Of 9 entries, this category was one of the least participated in, but hopefully these awards will generate more interest and participation in French language blogs, and also from our Quebecois friends living all throughout Canada, toward next year’s contest.

  1. Sorry to hear about the low voter turnout for this category – I only found out about this blog (sorry!) and this contest 2 minutes ago following a Tweet from Rob Cottingham. Pls feel free to contact me if you’d like help promoting this category next year.

Félicitations aux gagnants – au plaisir de vous découvrir.

Michelle, that would be much appreciated. We need more connections to the blogging scene in our other official language, and if you want to be one, keep in touch canadianblogawardsAT gmail.com

You can be certain that we will ourselves enter the contest next year and we will be more than happy to publicize this contest.

I’m happy for Synchro-Blogue, it’s a good tech blog and maybe this will help them get more people on board and get more daily content.

  4. Anne says:

God job but there are many other French language sites available.
