Round Two Voting Opens for 2007 CBAs

Posted: January 23, 2008 by D. Collier in Uncategorized

The voting has begun. Please read this carefully: You can vote only once per category, per round. (Unlike previous years, you do not get one vote per day.) Choose carefully, and good luck to the competitors.

The results of Round Two voting will be revealed after voting closes January 30th, 2008 11:59 PM PST. Some results will be available the following day, with more to come throughout the week. A more detailed explanation is coming for those who are super excited to see who is winning.

Please vote for the best in each of the following categories…

I’m trying to vote for round two, but it says ‘thank you but we’ve already counted your vote’.

I haven’t voted since round 1. I know a couple others who are having this issue…what’s up?

  2. saskboy says:

TG, the most likely cause is that you’re on a network where someone has already voted, such as a workplace, or school. Also, only one vote per home network is common too.

  3. TG says:

Yeah, it’s at work and someone else voted. Does that mean that you allow only one vote per workplace?

  4. saskboy says:

Unfortunately that’s how our security is set up this year. It’s not perfect, but it prevents a single person from registering potentially dozens or hundreds of votes. If you can vote from home, please do so.

  5. Catherine says:

So, how come when I tried to vote it says that my vote has already been counted. There are multiple people living at this residence and you are tracking through ISP address. Ergo, we only have one vote per household, correct?

  6. saskboy says:

Catherine, it works out that most homes with multiple computers share a single IP address with the world, and the unfortunate side effect of our security is that there’s only one vote per household configured that way. Hopefully you can find a home not using their vote, to count yours from.
