2. International Metropolis with 151 votes (20.27%)
3. WindsorEats.com with 100 votes (13.42%)
4. Kitsilano.ca with 79 votes (10.6%)
5. Mike Cluett’s Milton Blog with 57 votes (7.65%)
Total votes: 745
This year’s local blog award for first goes to Ottawa’s Knitnut with nearly half of the popular vote. And this category was no lightweight! 745 votes were cast in the finals and 32 blogs nominated for contention. Second and third go to Windsor blogs, which apparently has a very vibrant blogging community. Fourth goes to the trendy Kitsilano area of Vancouver, while fifth is based out of Milton, Ontario. International Metropolis and Windsor Eats were also finalists in 2007. Congratulations to a strong showing from all participants.

Just as Milton was the fastest growing municipality in Canada in 2007…you’ll see more of Milton in the future.
