Welcome, everybody, to the 2014 blog awards.

As with every year, nominations are an exciting time to tell the world about your favourite blogs.

So, do it! (Click Here to vote).

Nominations will close around November 1st.

As always, if anybody wants to advertise they can do so by providing proof of a charitable donation in Canada, and emailing me.

Cheers,

We’re opening up nominations for the 2012 Canadian Blog Awards a little early this year, and we’re changing the format a bit.

In the past the biggest complaint has been that people somehow missed out on the nomination period. This year we’re extending the process, and we’re keeping all nominations in the comments below. You can help out by sharing the Awards on Facebook and by announcing the news however you can.

To nominate a blog for this year’s Awards simply leave a comment reply on this post. You must include the name of the blog and the link to the blog itself and the associated category (see below for a list). For example: “Bob Loblaw’s Law Blog – http://www.bobswebsite.com – Best Law Blog.” Each blog only needs one nomination to qualify and there’s no benefit for multiple nominations.

Blogs that are nominated by multiple categories will be placed into up to 2 categories by management.

Nominations will close in September so keep an eye out for updates about voting. You can ask any questions in the comments or find me @TOBusinessLaw. Don’t forget to list your blog at TopBlogs.ca.

Good luck to all!

– Jonathan Kleiman (@TOBusinessLaw / Small Claims Court Lawyer)

The time has finally come for nominations for the 2010 Canadian Blog Awards. We’re all really excited to get moving, and to see what new blogs come out this year. Nominations will end October 9th, leaving us an entire month to make sure that everybody gets to nominate who they want. Every year in the past there have been a number of blogs who miss the boat, so let’s all do our best to spread the word and nominate worthy blogs.

Use this form to nominate your favourite Canadian blog.

Hats off to the law firm at which I work, Porco Levy Zavet LLP (PLZ Law) for encouraging me to volunteer my free time to run this competition, and for understanding why I decided to disqualify their law blog 😉 Check out their law news sharing website too.

If you have any questions or comments about the CBA’s, include them in the comments section of your nomination form. Remember, not everybody checks this page for updates, so remind your readers to nominate!

Thanks, and Good Luck!

Jonathan Kleiman

2010 Nominations Later This Year

We get emails from readers asking when they can nominate their favourite Canadian blogs. Nominations typically open in October or November, and we’ll post a more exact date as we get more organized closer to that time.

We can’t give a more exact date because the CBA’s don’t have a rigid command structure, and exist solely on the basis of volunteerism and unicorn farts. Unless you know of some gassy unicorns, we could possibly use your eager effort in whatever way your talents offer. Leave a comment for us to return your message, or email us.

Nominations are open until January 11th, 2007 11:59PM PST

The Canadian Blog Awards is being featured today on CBC Saskatchewan Blue Sky at approximately 12:35 CST.

Please have a quick look at the Rules, then submit your favourite Canadian blogs in the appropriate categories.

To see a summary of the latest nominations, see the Recent Comments list on the side of the this blog. You can subscribe to the Comments RSS feed as well.

UPDATE: Welcome NewsTalk980.com listeners. I (Saskboy) appeared on the Dave Arnold Morning Show at 7:45 and talked with Dave for a few minutes explaining the CBAs, and the variety of blogs in my province and in Canada.
