As selected by Canadian Blog Award voters, here are the rankings for:
Best GLBT [Gay/Lesbian/Bi/Transgendered] Blog
1. Slap Upside The Head with 146 votes (45.77%)

2. Gay Persons of Color with 89 votes (27.9%)

3. Montreal Simon with 35 votes (10.97%)

4. Moved To Vancouver with 27 votes (8.46%)
5. GayandRight with 22 votes (6.9%)
Total votes: 319
The GLBT category became more diverse this year with 11 nominations including prominent conservative bloggers, which means that differences in sexual orientation is becoming a very mainstream awareness that is accepted by the vast majority of Canadians. Fifth place finalist Fred, from GayandRight, is one such conservative who shows that sexuality perception has definitely changed from being something shunned by the “right”. Slap Upside the Head and Montreal Simon are back in the finalists, while Gay persons of Color (shouldn’t that be “colour”?) places in the top two for the second year. Moved to Vancouver joins the finalists for the first time this year. Congratulations to all for being considered the best in Canada in GLBT blogging.

I know spreading out the results builds interest and an audience but this is just killing me! there are too many categories to do just a few a day. I’m thinking that perhaps you’ll have to get like the Oscars and the Genies and break them up into two or three large groups and post over three days with different themes.
Please.

Congratulations to Slap Upside the Head, this is a blog that I discovered solely due to the blog awards. I hopped around reading nominated blogs and found many I liked, particularly this one … So, again, Good On You, from now, a regular reader.

I want to thank all three finalists for contributing to the diversity of the blogosphere.
I particularly want to thank James, (aka G-POC from Gay Persons of Color), for his insightful posts and tireless humanity.

Jocelyn, Perhaps next year we’ll be able to do something like that. For now, this is the schedule

Har har. The most precise answer is “today”. See, we have a sense of humour too.
Humour is actually coming up in the next few hours, and the rest this evening. We have some video announcements this evening too.
