Canadian Blog Awards

Winning Bloggers now in the Papers

March 4, 2008 · 3 Comments

Some newspapers have taken notice in the bloggers who cleaned up at the Canadian Blog Awards 2007 edition. Aside from the Windsor Star the other week, The Guelph Mercury and two Argentinian papers have had stories featuring the hometown online winners.

Live from Waterloo’s inspiring Best Blog Post Series about how his family came to Canada, got added exposure in South America.

Danielle Takacs’ blog won for Best New Blog, and it made the front page of the paper. Yes indeed, blogs are just that important ;-)

Hello how do you nominate a blog or get nominated. When does the contest open for 2008?

    Hi Chad,
Nominations will open late in 2008, probably starting November or December. Look for more details as late as October. Nomination is easy when it opens. Just type in the address and name of the blog you want to see win, and the nomination list is voted upon once ready.

Thanks for mentioning me and my ‘media exposure’, SaskBoy.

Apparently, there’s more of this coming my way, as I’ve been recently contacted by the local newspaper about an article. I will let you know…
